Geotechnical engineering services

Geotechnical engineering technical services include reviewing and analyzing data from geotechnical drilling operations, field or on-site tests, laboratory tests, and geophysical studies in order to identify the surface and underground conditions of buildings for the design and construction of structures. These reports include information and parameters related to the condition of soil and rock layers, underground water conditions, bearing capacity, settlement of foundations, problematic soils, soil chemistry and parameters related to earthquakes and providing geotechnical recommendations.

The purpose of building a foundation is to rely on a certain load on the ground so that as a result of this action, the ground under the foundation does not get overstressed, so it is necessary to determine the amount of load and the resistance of the ground. The foundation design of any structure requires a complete and deep understanding of the geotechnical behavior of the ground under the foundation. Determining the bearing capacity of the ground and its immediate and long-term settlement is one of the most important parameters that must be carefully evaluated when designing a foundation. With the expansion of industry and urbanization, the construction of mega-projects in the field of water, oil and petrochemical industries, etc., the need for a deeper understanding of the interaction of the foundation and the load-bearing ground beneath it increases. On the other hand, considering that Iran is an earthquake-prone region, investigating the behavior of the load-bearing layers under the foundation during an earthquake is of particular importance.
